I'm kind of sick and tired of the media's 'coverage' of the War. I feel like their distorted perspective on the whole thing is as foolish as it is nausiating :barf:. So I spotted some raw data on the War and thought it would be worth sharing with you all. You can find it at News Release HEADQUARTERS UNITED STATES CENTRAL COMMAND . It is a great collection of facts. I found it sort of amusing as I considered this data and related it to a game my son and I often play. The game was created by Sid Myer and is called Civilization. It is fascinating to note that the accomplishment of half of the things on that list would be considered an overwhelming victory in this trivial (yet fun) computer game. That this would be the case makes sense, look at the accomplishments listed by the US Central Command. This war has gone exceedingly well. Please understand I am not trying to trivialize what has come about through this conflict. Has it been difficult and very costly? Yes. But at the same time has it been worth it? Ask those liberated in Iraq and they would be the first to shout an overwhelming YES! When has something like this ever been accomplished, an entire nation liberated from such rampant cruelty, especially in this short amount of time? I am struck with how successful this entire war effort has been so far.
In light of all that has happened in Spain, the results of that attack and the implications for our upcoming elections, it seems to me that these facts need to get out. If this data is covered up or lost in the sensless babblings of our media culture, it is possible that the Socialist Party may win another election only this time on this side of the ocean. They've got their man John Kerry. He seems to embody all of their values. It is puzzling to me why they continue to insist on calling their party the Democratic Party when they are in fact nothing more than 'wanna be' European Socialists?
Enjoy the facts listed at the link above. They are encouraging as our country struggles through this necessary, just and righteous war.

politics... politics.... politics
Honestly, why do you pay attention to the media?
It's political payback time for Florida 2000 in the minds of the anti-Bushites. However, I think they will miss the boat by a margin of 10. Listening to more reasonable democrats talk about how they don't like Bush, they like Kerry even less, I have hope that they will see clearly the political slant and rhetoric that is flying around.
Liberal profs at UCSB make comments to the like: "Republicans are poorly educated" which is flase, the average republican has more of an education than the average democrat - you just don't see as many in the Ivory Towers of Education since being conservative is not popular. The media spews out a blind bias that would make you think conservatives are backwards and Naziesque. In the mid-19th Century the Democrats were on the losing side of a Civil War, but now this current war is a losing war for conservatives. We are much to passive and compacent - our children are in the enemies hands and we do little to change it.
Sorry... that was a bit of a rant.
Amazing how good news is squelched isn't it?
