First night in Hungary

What a wonderful Christian family we are staying with. Over a light dinner we found out that their daughter Anita knows some english and that the mom Judith took one 20 hour class. They have been at Monty's church since its formation, and Anita who going to beautician school share's Christ with her co-workers at a salon. They have been to the church camps which Hope joined in attending, and remembered Pastor Rich fondly, as well as Chick and Jerry who they sat with during one of the group sessions.

Again, what a blessing to be staying with a family with Internet access. Its a little slow to type on as some letters are arranged differently on the keyboard - Y and Z keys are reversed, and most of the punctuation keys are in different spots. But once I found the hungarian version of firefox that was already installed, I was ready to go...

As I was saying earlier,  we pretty much made it this far without any problems. The only small hitch was a mixup with David D.'s boarding passes. For some reason, though we all checked in together, he wasn't assigned a seat. We were a little worried at the gate when the person behind the counter stated that it was a full flight. They were not very helpful when he explained that he had arrived and checked in at the same time as we did and should have received a seat assignment. They said that his name would be called later and then he would receive a seat. We waited patiently as they announced the flight was oversold, and offered anyone willing to stay back a 1,000 dollar voucher for flying to Miami to catch a flight to London the next day. I was proud of the team as we agreed not to board though are boarding groups were being called until we figured out what was going on with our leader's flight. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who noticed the significance of this teamwork, as I saw a young woman comment to her spouse, "That's Amazing".

Soon after, David's name was called and we were able to board. We were pleased to see that the ambassadors were able to sit by eachother in groups of 2 or more. Even David who was assigned the late seat, was just across from Cuinn and Christy. This may not be the sentiment of all team members, but I found the flight to be shorter than usual. Could have something to do with beying up almost all night before, and the help of some Benadryl to sleep through most of the flight. Wink Though it didn't feel like I was sleeping, waking up often as is the case of sleeping on planes, I would look at my watch and the hours did pass soon enough.

The flight from London to Budapest, was un-eventful and smooth. When we arrived we went through customs to find Monty and friends from his church there to warmly welcome us. We stepped outside, and were quickly distributed to the familys and individuals who were to kindly be our hosts. We said a quick goodbye, knowing that we would all meet back at Church in the morning for service. Pray for David as he will be preaching during the service. Afterwards, Monty announced that we would be having a fellowship bbq at the church, followed by some sight-seeing.

Thank you for all your prayers, I should be able to check in tomorrow night before we leave on Monday for Moldova.

Fantastic!

I'd forgotten exactly when your trip was, so it's great to hear you're on it and connecting with people. Flight arrangements can be tricky and I'm glad everything worked out so well.

I hope your church service goes well tomorrow. We'll be praying for you guys.

God bless.

Wow, you are a cohesive group!  What a testimony for the Lord.  Sounds like your Hungary accommodations are a tad bit better than 2004, but I bet you don't have a pool room, huh Sealed?  I am continuing to pray for you all.  My heart is with you.  How is Patti's back doing?  Was the flight very rough on her?  Please let her know I am asking about her.  Please also tell Jer that we went to lunch with her folks after church today and they are doing fine.

Also, update on Lily--she has been diagnosed with epilepsy.  They have started drug therapy and are hoping that since she is so young, she will outgrow it as her brain grows.  There doesn't appear to be any brain damage and they are hoping full use of her right side will also return with the stopping of the seizures and as she grows. Tim and Lily both have strep and Sylvia is exhausted so we must all continue in prayer for them.

<>I am thrilled to have this sight.  Thanks for setting it up James.  Tell Melissa I love her (love you too) and look forward to hearing about everything upon your return.  My love to Anna, the boys, Hugging Anna, et al.  Talk more later.  This is so cool.
