Okay, so I don't use exlamation points, but this definitely deserves one.
The Mozilla folks have "Songbird" under their belts, and it is seriously cool. Finally, something that might but up against the iTunes empire. It's only in v.02, so it's buggy enough to drive most people crazy, but on v1 release sometime in 2007, this could be my new music, podcast, ect. program.
Check it out.

I think its going to turn me
I think its going to turn me into a birdwatcher. Too cute not to check out.
just tried it
just tried it
I like it already, but will have to spend some more time with it. Only tried it in windows, need to give it a go in Linux as well. I was using Amarok in Linux, but don't find myself in it often. Sure would be nice to have the same interface regardless of platform.
Xactly.
Still playing around with it, but mi gusto mucho. I like the look, I love the crossplatforming, and I like its search abilities.
v.o3 release should see some good improvements if they do what they say they'll do (including the ability to play/rip CDs.
Birdwatching too, and surprised I hadn't heard about this sooner.
podcast subscription isn't working for me
Just tried out 0.2 binary build for linux, and I couldn't get the podcast subscription to work at all.
So i'll set that one back on the alpha shelf for now.
