Performancing

Great tool for blogging, especially for those who want to be a little freer in the where and when.

Check out the performancing add-on for Firefox. Very cool extension which allows you, within the browser, write and publish blogs remotely. Here's the idea, you are looking at a cool website, you hit F8 and Performancing pops up. Type in your blog, drag images from the web page into the UI, and it takes care of linking to the image source.

Awesome all around so far. Combined with FF2's spell check and my blogging ration just jumped.

Drop That Phone!

Gentlemen, there is a new study that talking on your cell phone hurts your fertility. Yes, if you talk on your phone for more than four hours a day forget having kids. All those EMRs that are bombarding your brain magically kill off your sperm (hee hee, I said sperm).

Alright, the article is here, but don't worry. Their argument is shaky at best. Test the logic of their claims.

Firefox 2

So...Firefox 2.0 launches today. I downloaded the full release last night and have been playing with it a bit. I looks clean, works the way it's supposed to so far, but the jury is still out.

For one, my theme has not been updated, which bums me out cause it was Japanese and awesome. That's not F's fault, but still.

Second, the tabs are movable, which is cool. But each tab has its own close button which will take some getting used to.

To be more positive, the tabs are movable, and it's correcting my spelling right now (at least I think it is, although Google might be, who knows anymore).

How Do You Vote?

No, I don't want you to tell me who you're voting for, whether it's a congressional seat or minister of dog catching; but, I am curious as to why you vote.

I had this conversation a while back and found it interesting. Someone, who I thought more more politically "center," surprised me with his view on voting. He said that it was his intention to vote according to the issues. We agreed that we are both Libertarian in our thinking, but he was choosing to vote L and I wasn't. The rationals are plain enough, I don't want to waste my vote and he wants to vote his "conscience."

WAY TOO COOL!

Okay, so I don't use exlamation points, but this definitely deserves one.

The Mozilla folks have "Songbird" under their belts, and it is seriously cool. Finally, something that might but up against the iTunes empire. It's only in v.02, so it's buggy enough to drive most people crazy, but on v1 release sometime in 2007, this could be my new music, podcast, ect. program.

Check it out.
